The New York gals had been coutured up to their eyeballs since the series started in 1998. Completely unrealistic, but that’s why we loved it. From the ballerina skirt, Manolo Blahnik shoes and that wedding dress. Thank you Patricia Field.
Suddenly the bikini top became a very popular day-wear item when teamed with mesh. With the influence of girl groups like All Saints and TLC, we were suddenly sporting comfy cargo pants and tight T-shirts with all sorts of bedazzling going on. As for the boy bands? Well, I’m sure they were as unhappy with their stylists as we were.
